Job Description:
The Assistant Site Manager will support the Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that construction projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a hands-on approach and effective coordination with various teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Site Manager in the management and supervision of all on-site activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor progress against the project plan, identifying and addressing any potential delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, inspections, and any incidents.
- Support the implementation of quality control measures to ensure all work meets the required standards.
- Assist in the resolution of any on-site issues or conflicts.
- Communicate effectively with the Site Manager, project team, and client representatives.
- Participate in site meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of site operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with a main contractor, preferably on residential or commercial projects.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using construction management software and other relevant IT tools.
- Valid Safe Pass
