Salary: €50,000 - €70,000 per annum

About Our Client:
Our client, a leading company based in Galway, is seeking a skilled Automation & Controls Engineer to join their engineering team. This role involves designing, programming, and maintaining automation and control systems to optimize manufacturing processes, improve system performance, and support production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automation and control systems for manufacturing and production processes.
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems to ensure efficient process control.
- Create detailed control system designs, including wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and hardware specifications.
- Conduct regular system testing and validation to ensure reliable performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify automation needs and provide technical solutions.
- Provide technical support for commissioning, start-up, and maintenance of automation systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in automation and controls engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Profibus.
