Location: Cavan
Salary: €50,000-€70,000
An experienced engineering & manufacturing business is seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team in Co. Cavan. This is an interactive, hands‑on role in automation and controls, offering the chance to work on modern systems and advance your technical career.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, program, commission and troubleshoot automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA)

Support mechanical and electrical teams to deliver reliable automated solutions

Work with production and engineering staff to improve process efficiency

Assist in debugging, optimisation, documentation and hand‑over of systems

Ensure systems meet required safety, control and functional standards
Requirements:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics or related field

Proven experience in automation or controls engineering (manufacturing/industrial)

Skilled in PLC/HMI programming and fault‑finding of control systems

Strong communication, technical problem‑solving and team‑working abilities

Full clean driving licence preferred
