Continental Shift Pattern | 15 Days per Month (Days & Nights)

Talent Curve are recruiting for an Automation Shift Technician on behalf of a leading manufacturing organisation within the medical device sector.

This is an opportunity to join a highly automated production environment, supporting critical manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role
You will work as part of a shift team to maximise machine uptime, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure smooth operation of automated systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Start-up, shutdown and troubleshooting of automated machinery
  • Fault finding across PLCs, control systems, and production equipment
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Supporting continuous improvement and new product introduction projects
  • Monitoring machine performance and resolving processing issues
  • Ensuring compliance with GMP and quality standards
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
  • Completing technical documentation and reports

Criteria

  • Experience as an Automation Technician or within injection moulding
  • Background in high-volume manufacturing
  • Strong fault-finding across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Knowledge of PLCs and industrial control systems
  • Experience in regulated environments (ISO/GMP desirable)

Desirable

  • Medical device or cleanroom experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485
  • Injection moulding experience
