Our client, a leading electrical engineering company with a specialization in MV & LV electrical cable installation, is seeking a talented BIM Engineer to join their team for a major project based in Meath, Ireland.
With a focus on industries such as Data Centers and Pharmaceuticals, they have consistently delivered high-quality services to clients worldwide.

The Role...
As a BIM Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the project by overseeing BIM data, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the seamless integration of BIM processes into the project workflow.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement BIM protocols and standards for the assigned project.
  • Create detailed 3D & 2D digital designs for Electrical and Mechanical systems using BIM software.
  • Coordinate with design engineers, clients, and project managers to integrate multiple disciplinary models into a unified BIM model.
  • Perform clash detection and conflict resolution within the BIM model to prevent construction errors and rework.
  • Generate and maintain accurate documentation and reports from BIM models, including drawings, schedules, and material takeoffs.
  • Facilitate BIM model reviews and walkthroughs with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with design intent and project specifications.
  • Train and mentor junior BIM staff and other team members on BIM processes, best practices, and software use.
  • Research and implement new BIM technologies and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of modeling and simulation processes.

Essential Criteria...

  • 3rd Level Qualification in Engineering or Building Service with relevant BIM qualification.
  • At least 2-3 years of BIM working experience.
  • Mechanical or Electrical background.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on meeting project deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with all stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
