Location: Dungannon, Co. Tyrone
Salary: Up to £40,000

The Opportunity

We’re working with a leading heavy goods manufacturer who are continuing to grow and invest in their engineering function.

They’re now looking to bring in a BOM Engineer – someone who thrives on structure, accuracy, and keeping complex engineering data running smoothly behind the scenes.

The Role

This is a central position within the business, ensuring all engineering data and product structures are accurate, controlled and aligned across departments.

You’ll be:

  • Managing Engineering Change Notices and updating BOM structures
  • Maintaining full revision control and configuration traceability
  • Coordinating BOM updates across design changes, supplier changes and product upgrades
  • Ensuring accurate release of BOMs to purchasing and production
  • Working closely with design, purchasing and manufacturing teams to keep everything aligned
  • Supporting production with material structures and resolving BOM discrepancies
  • Maintaining engineering data within ERP/MRP systems
  • Ensuring part numbering, material data and system accuracy is consistent
  • Supporting integration between CAD, PDM/PLM and ERP systems
  • Running BOM audits and driving improvements in data quality and efficiency
  • Identifying opportunities to standardise components and reduce duplication

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience using ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Sage, Oracle, Dynamics etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assemblies
  • Experience supporting engineering change control (ECN/ECO)
  • Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or similar) is desirable
