Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Bricklaying Foreman to join our team on large residential projects in Dublin. As a Bricklaying Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of bricklayers and ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise bricklaying teams to ensure efficient and effective execution of work.
  • Coordinate with site managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and project integration.
  • Plan and schedule daily and weekly work activities, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately.
  • Monitor and inspect brickwork to ensure adherence to design specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate bricklaying teams, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure adequate supply of materials, tools, and equipment for bricklaying activities.
  • Liaise with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health and safety policies and procedures on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of work progress, resource usage, and any issues encountered.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in bricklaying, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of working on large residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of bricklaying techniques, materials, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in bricklaying.
