Building Services Engineer
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Salary: €40,000 - €60,000 per annum
Reporting to: Project Manager/Engineering Manager
About the Role:
Our client, a leading construction company based in Dublin, is seeking a skilled Building Services Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the Project Manager/Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing building services projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and specifying building services systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Conducting site surveys and inspections to assess project requirements.
- Liaising with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Providing technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the lifecycle of projects.
- Reviewing and approving design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Coordinating with external consultants and suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment.
- Monitoring project progress and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Preparing and presenting reports, proposals, and technical presentations to stakeholders.
- Participating in meetings and workshops to discuss project requirements and solutions.
Requirements:
- Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in building services design and project management.
- Proficiency in relevant design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and calculation tools.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices and energy efficiency standards.
