Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Construction Contracts Manager to join our team and manage the contractual aspects of our construction projects in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions, managing contractual risks, and fostering positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse project contracts, including terms and conditions, specifications, and scope of work.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks and liabilities to protect the interests of the company.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on contractual matters, including contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
- Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and project success.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address any concerns or issues related to project contracts.
- Oversee the selection and management of subcontractors, including the negotiation and administration of subcontract agreements.
- Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.
- Resolve any disputes or issues that may arise with subcontractors in a timely and effective manner.
- Identify and assess potential risks and liabilities associated with project contracts.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimise exposure and protect the company's interests.
- Collaborate with project teams to address contractual risks and ensure project success.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract documentation, including correspondence, change orders, and project records.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on contract status, performance, and issues for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements related to project contracts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC, NEC).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse complex contractual issues and develop practical solutions.
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
