The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the design, construction, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This is a senior leadership role, forming part of the Senior Management Team, where you will help shape operational strategy and drive continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage site management teams and subcontractors
- Oversee multiple projects from pre-construction through to handover
- Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships
- Ensure full compliance with programme schedules and project budgets
- Drive excellence in health & safety, quality, and construction standards
- Implement effective communication systems and company procedures
- Carry out regular project reviews, reporting on progress, risks, and performance
- Contribute to strategic planning and company-wide initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Management role
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects successfully
- Excellent commercial awareness and programme management experience
- Relevant certifications such as Safe Pass and Manual Handling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction/project management software
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
