A well-established and growing main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering residential, commercial, healthcare and education projects is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team.
The company has built its reputation through a hands-on approach, strong client relationships and a consistent focus on quality, safety, programme and commercial performance.
The Role
You will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of an €8.5M student accommodation development in Salthill, Galway, working closely with the Project Manager, site team, subcontractors, design team and client.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
- Manage programme, budget, quality and Health & Safety.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
- Manage procurement and subcontractor appointments.
- Monitor project progress and commercial performance.
- Lead client and design team meetings.
- Ensure works are delivered to programme and specification.
- Identify and resolve technical, commercial and programme issues.
- Provide regular reporting to senior management.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in a Contracts Manager / Senior Project Manager role.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale residential or accommodation projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, programme management and commercial control.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality requirements.
- Relevant construction/engineering qualification preferred.
