Talent Curve are looking for a Design Engineer to join part of an established team in Dublin. This is a permanent position in the Design Team working on projects for clients which include Irish Water and Power Projects
Key Responsibilites:
- Oversee and manage the design of multiple projects, ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery.
- Design structures, buildings, and general civil works related to the Water and Power sectors, including steel-framed buildings and reinforced concrete (RC) structures.
- Review design briefs and create detailed design packages, from concept to final design, incorporating environmental, archaeological, and other key considerations.
- Manage both in-house and subcontracted design resources to ensure efficient project execution.
- Develop initial project schedules that comply with contract requirements and can be further refined by the Planning and Programming Teams.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and client representatives, ensuring effective project delivery and fostering strong professional relationships.
Requirements:
- Civil Engineering Degree or related discipline
- Experience in a similar role
- Knowledge or UK, US, Australian or Irish Water Standards or Power Utility Standards
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Commercial awareness of design costs
- Good leadership skills
