Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Co. Tyrone
Salary: £35-45k
Talent Curve are recruiting on behalf of an established construction equipment manufacturer for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing technical team.
The Role
- Design and develop mechanical products using CAD.
- Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
- Modify and improve existing products to enhance performance, reliability and manufacturability.
- Liaise with production, fabrication and purchasing teams throughout the manufacturing process.
- Support prototype builds, testing and product validation.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards and customer requirements.
- Assist with technical problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively across departments to deliver projects on time.
About You
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer position within manufacturing.
- Proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor or similar.
- Experience producing manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
- Knowledge of welded fabrications, heavy machinery, steel structures or similar products would be highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacture (DFM).
