A highly respected main contractor is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join its Dublin project team.
The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the design process across major construction projects, working closely with clients, consultants and project teams to ensure designs meet programme, budget and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process from concept through to construction.
- Coordinate architectural, structural and MEP design teams.
- Review drawings and specifications for accuracy, compliance and constructability.
- Act as the key contact for design-related matters with clients and project teams.
- Monitor design progress, risks and programme requirements.
- Identify and resolve design issues to minimise delays.
- Support value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure design risks, quality requirements and regulatory standards are addressed.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years’ design management experience within construction.
- Main contractor experience preferred.
- Data Centre experience desirable.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and construction processes.
- Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
