Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Foreman to lead on-site construction activities for a 50-unit apartment development in Dublin 15. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily on-site operations, ensuring adherence to programme, quality, and safety standards.
- Oversee subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring tasks are carried out efficiently and correctly.
- Liaise with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and engineers to interpret plans, drawings, and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and enforce safe working practices on site.
- Monitor productivity and quality of work across trades, flagging and resolving any issues promptly.
- Manage materials and equipment deliveries, stock control, and usage on site.
- Maintain site records, daily reports, and site diaries.
- Attend and contribute to site meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Implement and enforce site cleanliness, security, and operational discipline.
- Act as a key point of contact for the trades and address day-to-day construction queries.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Foreman on residential or apartment developments.
- Proven track record on medium to large-scale construction projects.
- Relevant trade background or construction management qualification
- In-depth knowledge of current building regulations, construction methods, and Health & Safety legislation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in using smartphones/tablets for site reporting and communication.
- Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and CIF Covid-19 induction (mandatory).
