The Opportunity:
We are recruiting an EHS Advisor on behalf of a leading engineering contractor executing a high-specification pharmaceutical facility development in Denmark. This role is a brilliant career move for an operational safety professional looking to expand their international portfolio within a heavily funded, fast-paced biopharma sector.

 

Position Overview:
Based permanently on-site, you will serve as the primary field representative responsible for auditing daily workplace behaviors, verifying field permits, and ensuring that diverse sub-contractor teams maintain full compliance with European construction laws. You will act as a collaborative link between the project management functions and the field trade crews.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Monitoring: Maintain a continuous physical presence across active build faces to verify that operational work permits and risk evaluation files are actively followed.
  • Governance Documentation: Maintain, index, and update workplace safety matrices, equipment testing files, and vocational competency certifications.
  • Risk Review: Collaborate with site supervisors to review safe working method procedures and verify that tools assigned to the field meet current regulatory standards.
  • Safety Briefings: Organise and conduct recurring field briefings, safety awareness loops, and coordinate joint site walkthroughs alongside client management.
  • Incident Tracking: Log workplace close-call notifications, audit corrective actions, and track outstanding compliance goals until they are formally resolved.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Educational Background: An approved professional qualification or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Industry Tenure: Minimum 3–5 years of active experience coordinating site safety protocols.
  • Sector Background: Direct exposure to pharmaceutical installations, mechanical contracting, or cleanroom utility infrastructure is highly advantageous.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication capabilities to manage regulatory guidelines smoothly with field supervisors.
