About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Building Services Engineer to join a leading consultancy in Belfast. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative and diverse projects, delivering sustainable and energy-efficient electrical solutions for modern building systems.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and oversee electrical building services systems, including lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver tailored solutions for commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
Create and review technical drawings, schematics, and specifications using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards such as BS7671, CIBSE, and IEE regulations.
Support the construction phase with site inspections, system testing, and commissioning activities.
Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainability improvements in electrical system designs.
Maintain up-to-date project documentation and provide regular progress reports.

What We’re Looking For

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
2-5+ years of experience in electrical building services design or consultancy.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or electrical design tools.
Strong understanding of lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including BS7671 and CIBSE guidelines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
