Job Summary:

They are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team for an exciting opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process of LV Switchgear Systems for a Data Centre Client. This role will involve working closely with our project team to ensure the successful delivery of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Power Delivery Units (PDUs), and Main Distribution Boards (MDBs) for Hyperscale Data Centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct commissioning activities for LV Switchgear Systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform functional testing and verification of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Power Delivery Units (PDUs), and Main Distribution Boards (MDBs).
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of commissioning activities.
  • Generate commissioning reports and documentation to record test results, observations, and recommendations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the installation team during the commissioning process.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices at all times.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field. ( Or Trades Background)
  • Proven experience in commissioning LV Switchgear Systems, preferably within the data centre or industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Power Delivery Units (PDUs), and Main Distribution Boards (MDBs).
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications and licences (e.g., Electrical Installation or Commissioning qualifications) would be advantageous.
