Job Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join their team in Maghera. The successful candidate will oversee the management and execution of electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgetary constraints, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate multiple electrical projects concurrently, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to effectively plan and execute project deliverables.
- Prepare project estimates, budgets, and schedules in collaboration with the estimating and procurement teams.
- Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect workmanship, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, support, and direction to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Review and approve project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Maintain accurate project records, including financial records, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
- Foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Champion health and safety best practices, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance on all project sites.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in a similar role within the electrical contracting industry, with a strong track record of successfully managing electrical projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, allocate resources effectively, and meet project deadlines.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams to achieve excellence.
- Sound knowledge of electrical systems, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional, Construction Management Association of America) would be advantageous.
