Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Dungannon
Salary: Up to £60,000 + 10% annual bonus
The Opportunity
We’re working with a leading local manufacturer within the specialist vehicle and aviation support space who are continuing to invest heavily in new product development.
They’re now looking to bring in an Electrical Design Engineer to support ongoing growth and play a key role in developing next-generation equipment.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants real involvement in projects – not just sitting behind a desk – and the chance to see designs go from concept right through to production.
Role of the Electrical Design Engineer
You’ll be involved across the full lifecycle of electrical design, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust, production-ready systems.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Designing electrical schematics, wiring harnesses and control panels in line with industry standards
- Creating full technical documentation including specifications, BOMs and work instructions
- Carrying out simulations and analysis to validate designs and support component selection
- Working closely with software/controls engineers to develop control strategies
- Supporting system integration across powertrain and vehicle systems
- Driving a “right first time” approach by collaborating with production and engineering teams
- Supporting testing, validation and continuous improvement of products
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards, ISO9001 and regulatory requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in electrical design software
- Experience with electrical schematics, panel design and system integration
- Strong understanding of safety-critical systems
- Ability to work cross-functionally with design, production and controls teams
- Someone proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable taking ownership of projects
