About the Role:

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team based in Dublin. Reporting to the Project Manager/Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing electrical projects, conducting site surveys, and providing technical support to the electrical site management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients and assisting in managing electrical projects.
  • Conducting site surveys and engineering inspection activities.
  • Analysing and reviewing electrical design documents.
  • Writing electrical specifications, troubleshooting, and solving problems.
  • Providing technical support to the electrical site management team.
  • Managing electrical documentation to ensure relevant registers and logs are up to date.
  • Managing electrical system handovers with site-based commissioning specialists.
  • Evaluating RFI responses and ensuring engineering issues are resolved.
  • Ensuring the latest electrical specifications and drawings are used by CJK Engineering Site Management.
  • Preparing electrical technical submittals according to specifications.
  • Populating electrical test packs and collating electrical test record sheets for system completion.
  • Collating electrical O&M manual documentation for inclusion in final handover documents.
  • Ensuring the project quality plan and associated electrical inspection & test plan are followed for each electrical system.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Third-level qualification or currently studying electrical engineering or building services engineering.
  • Ability to work well within strict deadlines and on their initiative.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Electrical knowledge and experience gained from either a trade or academic background.

Desirable:

  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD/Navisworks.
  • Previous construction site experience.
  • Renewable energy knowledge beneficial.

Additional Information:

  • Full-time position.
  • Salary is dependent on experience.
  • Position based on various electrical projects.
  • Working time: 39 hours per week.
