A leading construction company specialising in critical environments, including data centres, life sciences, aviation and high-value manufacturing, is seeking an experienced ESG Lead to join its Dublin team.

The successful candidate will lead the organisation’s environmental and ESG agenda, supporting regulatory compliance, sustainability reporting, carbon reduction and continuous improvement across projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental compliance and ESG strategy across the organisation.
  • Monitor Irish, UK and EU environmental and ESG legislation and industry standards.
  • Manage environmental management systems and support ISO 14001 compliance.
  • Lead ESG audits, compliance reviews and corrective actions.
  • Oversee ESG data collection, reporting and assurance processes.
  • Lead CSRD and ESRS compliance, including materiality assessments and sustainability disclosures.
  • Develop and monitor carbon reduction strategies covering Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
  • Support whole-life and embodied carbon assessments.
  • Drive circular economy, responsible sourcing, waste reduction and biodiversity initiatives.
  • Lead ESG training, communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work with procurement and operational teams to improve ESG performance across the supply chain.
  • Monitor ESG risks, opportunities and company performance against sustainability objectives.

Requirements

  • Third-level qualification in EHS, Environmental Management, Sustainability or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within large-scale construction or commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of ESG requirements and sustainability best practice.
  • Experience managing ISO 14001 systems and sustainability reporting.
  • Knowledge of CSRD, ESRS and carbon reporting desirable.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Full clean driving licence preferred.
