Field Service Engineer – Processing & Packaging Equipment

Location: Republic of Ireland (Field-Based)
Salary: €50,000 – €60,000

A well-established international equipment supplier is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of packaging and processing equipment across customer sites in the Republic of Ireland. This is a field-based role ideal for someone with a strong electro-mechanical background and experience working with automation or industrial machinery.

The Role:

Carry out installation, commissioning, servicing, and breakdown support on a range of processing and packaging machinery.
Perform planned maintenance and emergency repairs across multiple customer sites.
Provide technical support, diagnostics, and fault-finding both on-site and remotely.
Ensure full documentation of service calls, maintenance logs, and site reports.
Work closely with customers to maintain uptime and build long-term relationships.
Travel nationwide as required, with some overnight stays.

Candidate Profile:

Strong background in mechanical or electrical maintenance (e.g. mechatronics, automation, or equipment servicing).
Experience working on packaging, food processing, or manufacturing equipment is highly desirable.
Excellent fault-finding skills – both mechanical and electrical.
Comfortable working independently and managing service schedules.
Full clean driving licence (essential).
Strong communication and customer service skills.
