Job Title: Finishing Foreman - Residential Housing Project

A well-established construction company with a proven track record of delivering high-quality residential projects. Seeking a skilled Finishing Foreman with a strong background in carpentry to join their dynamic team for a long-term residential housing project in Charleville, County Cork.

 

Position Overview:

We are currently looking for an experienced Finishing Foreman who will play a crucial role in overseeing the final stages of construction on our residential housing project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all finishing touches are executed to the highest standards, with a specific focus on carpentry details. The project involves the construction of multiple residential units, and the Finishing Foreman will be instrumental in delivering residential units.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise strong carpentry skills to oversee and contribute to the completion of finishing work, including trim, cabinetry, and other woodwork details.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure that all finishing elements meet the project's quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Effectively lead and motivate the finishing team to meet project timelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Work closely with other foremen, project managers, and subcontractors to coordinate the seamless integration of finishing work with other construction activities.
  • Address and resolve any challenges or issues related to finishing work promptly, maintaining a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ensure that all finishing activities adhere to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of finishing progress, materials used, and any deviations from the original plans.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman, with a strong background in carpentry.
  • In-depth knowledge of residential construction processes, especially in the finishing stages.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Relevant trade certification in carpentry or equivalent.
  • Additional certifications in construction management or related fields are a plus.
