Company Overview:

A reputable construction firm specialising in both commercial and residential projects in North Dublin and beyond.  As they continue to expand their operations, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finishing Foreman to join and oversee the completion of finishing works on our commercial and residential projects in North Dublin.

 

Job Description:

As a Finishing Foreman, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of finishing works on our commercial and residential projects in North Dublin. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all activities related to the finishing phase of construction, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality will be essential in achieving project success and exceeding client expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise all finishing works on-site.
  • Ensure that finishing works meet the highest quality standards and comply with project specifications, building codes, and industry regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed schedule for finishing works, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently to optimise productivity and meet project deadlines.
  • Manage subcontractors involved in finishing works, including scheduling, coordination, and quality control.
  • Promote and enforce a strong culture of health and safety on-site, ensuring that all finishing works are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address any concerns or requirements related to finishing works.
  • Maintain accurate records of all finishing works, including progress reports, inspections, and as-built drawings, to support project documentation requirements.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in commercial and residential construction projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of finishing materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications.
  • Third-level qualification in construction management or a related field (preferred).
