Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Finishing Foreman with a minimum of 5 years of experience in residential projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the finishing phase of construction, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and within set deadlines. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong leadership abilities, and a thorough understanding of residential construction processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and site staff to ensure work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Monitor progress and quality of work on site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and snagging of completed work, ensuring all defects are identified and rectified promptly.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure all materials and workmanship meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on site.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and timesheets.
  • Oversee the final stages of construction, ensuring all finishing touches are completed to a high standard and the project is ready for handover.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Finishing Foreman on residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, finishes, and building regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using relevant construction management software and tools.
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates.
