Role Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman with a strong background in residential construction to oversee the final stages of our latest large-scale project. 

The successful candidate will ensure that all finishes, from plastering to joinery, are delivered to the highest standards and in line with project timelines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise closely with the Site Manager, design teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Oversee and manage site labour and subcontractors, focusing on the completion of finishing works such as plastering, painting, carpentry, and flooring.
  • Plan and schedule finishing tasks, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain detailed site records, including daily diaries and weekly reports, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
  • Coordinate and manage snagging works, ensuring all snag lists are addressed promptly and to the highest standard.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, health and safety protocols, and company quality standards throughout all finishing stages.
  • Act as a key point of contact for client representatives and purchasers, handling any queries related to finishing works.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to support handover processes and resolve any issues arising post-completion.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or trade qualification in Construction Management, Carpentry, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman within residential or mixed-use projects.
  • Strong knowledge of trades, particularly carpentry, and an in-depth understanding of construction methods.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of building regulations and certification standards.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality finishes.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach to team management.
  • A customer-focused mindset, with a proactive attitude towards solving problems.
