The Role
Talent Curve Recruitment is partnering with an established, NSI-accredited security contractor to recruit a Fire & Security Engineer in Belfast. This is a dual-discipline role involving the service, maintenance, and fault-finding of both fire alarms and electronic security systems across a diverse commercial and industrial client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Service and maintain a variety of fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
- Fault Diagnosis: Attend commercial sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair system faults efficiently.
- Commissioning Support: Assist with small installation handovers and the commissioning of updated systems.
- Call-Out Rotation: Participate in a reasonable, well-compensated on-call rota to provide emergency response.
- Compliance: Ensure all engineering works are documented accurately on electronic worksheets and fully comply with BS 5839 and EN standards.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience servicing fire and security systems (experience in both disciplines is highly advantageous).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of leading systems (e.g., Advanced, Kentec, Hikvision, Texecom, Paxton, or Galaxy).
- Qualifications: Relevant electrical/electronic qualifications or FIA unit certifications are highly desirable.
- Credentials: Full UK driving licence and a clean criminal record history (AccessNI check required).
