Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Foreman on behalf of our client for a 50-unit residential apartment project in Cork City. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily on-site operations, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Site Supervision: Oversee and manage all on-site activities, ensuring that construction progresses according to the project plan, and that work is completed on time and to the required quality standards.

Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of site personnel, subcontractors, and trades, ensuring that everyone is working effectively and in alignment with the project goals.

Quality Control: Implement and enforce strict quality control procedures on-site, ensuring that all work meets the required specifications and standards.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all site activities comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety inspections and promoting a culture of safety among the team.

Material Management: Monitor and manage the use of materials on-site, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and that supplies are ordered and delivered on time.

Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise on-site, working closely with the Site Manager and other stakeholders to find effective solutions.

Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Site Manager and Project Manager on the progress of the project, highlighting any potential risks or delays.

 

Qualifications:

Education: A relevant trade qualification or a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a foreman role within the construction industry, with a strong background in residential projects.

 

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
