Foreman – Civil Engineering
Location: Swords
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Foreman to join a busy civil engineering contractor on projects based in Swords. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure and utility projects across Ireland, known for its consistent project pipeline and focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate site activities, ensuring works are carried out safely, on time, and to a high standard
- Lead site crews, subcontractors, and plant operators across daily operations
- Ensure all works comply with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards
- Work closely with Site Engineers and Site Management to deliver project programmes
- Monitor progress and ensure efficient use of labour, plant, and materials
- Maintain strong communication across the site team and report updates to senior management
- Identify and resolve on-site issues quickly to avoid delays
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with drawings and specifications
About You:
- Proven experience as a Foreman within civil engineering projects
- Background in utilities, groundworks, or general civils is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams on site
- Good understanding of construction drawings and site operations
- Committed to maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality
- Reliable, organised, and proactive in approach
