The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technical consultancy firm in Dublin, which advises clients across the manufacturing, infrastructure, and technology sectors. They are seeking a driven Graduate Engineer to join their consulting practice. This role provides a high-exposure entry point into technical strategy, project management, and process optimisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly analytical graduate who wants to move beyond traditional design or maintenance and apply their engineering knowledge to complex business and operational problems.

Core Responsibilities

The Graduate Engineer will work as part of a project team, contributing technical expertise and analytical rigour to client engagements.

  • Data Analysis & Modelling: Collect, analyse, and model client operational data (e.g., efficiency metrics, resource usage) to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.

  • Process Mapping: Assist in mapping current state processes (As-Is) and designing optimal future state processes (To-Be) using Lean and Six Sigma principles.

  • Client Documentation: Prepare professional client reports, presentations, and technical documentation, translating complex engineering concepts into clear business recommendations.

  • Project Support: Support Senior Consultants and Project Managers in meeting project milestones, managing timelines, and coordinating client workshops.

  • Research & Development: Conduct market research and technical feasibility studies on new technologies and operational strategies relevant to client sectors.

Candidate Profile & Compensation

Essential Criteria

  • Level 8 Degree (or higher) in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical)

  • Strong academic record demonstrating exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in preparing reports and presenting data.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data modelling; knowledge of other analytical tools (e.g., Python, Minitab) is an advantage.

  • A keen interest in business operations, strategy, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: €35,000 – €45,000 per annum.

  • Location: Dublin City Centre (Note: occasional travel to client sites within Ireland may be required).
