Graduate Site Engineer – Dublin
Location: Dublin
Salary: €35,000 - €45,000
Reporting to: Senior Engineer/Project Manager
Our client is currently seeking talented Graduate/ Junior Engineers to join their dynamic project teams. If you are studying Construction Management or Civil Engineering and are keen to work with a company renowned for winning high-profile projects such as blue-chip, Pharmaceuticals & Highrise residential, this opportunity is ideal for you!
Role Responsibilities:
- Setting Out: Perform site set-out tasks as directed and ensure all provided information is clearly comprehended.
- Information Dissemination: Communicate details from drawings, specifications, etc., to foremen, operatives, and subcontractors to ensure understanding.
- Material Testing: Conduct material tests as instructed by your supervisor, adhering to relevant specifications.
- Material Management: Identify discrepancies between actual and calculated material requirements (e.g., concrete).
- Programme Targets: Meet weekly programme targets as set by site management.
- Daily Reporting: Maintain detailed records of daily activities, relevant information, and occurrences in your site diary.
- Progress Reporting: Report work progress, including that of subcontractors, to your manager.
- Professional Relationships: Develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues.
- Instrument and Equipment Monitoring: Check and monitor setting out instruments and testing equipment.
- Profit Maximisation: Maximise profit through effective self-management, accuracy in your work, and the elimination of re-work and waste.
- Compliance and Meetings: Follow directions and attend meetings as required.
The Candidate:
- Education: Third-level degree in a related discipline (preferably Construction Management or Civil Engineering).
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Learning Attitude: Eager to learn and develop, with the ability to critique your own work and seek assistance when necessary.
- Technical Communication: Ability to effectively communicate technical information.
