We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Fitter to join a busy and well-established manufacturing facility operating on a permanent days-only shift.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased maintenance engineer or fitter looking for a stable long-term role within a modern production environment offering strong job security and overtime potential.
The Role
- Mechanical maintenance across production and manufacturing equipment
- Fault finding and repair on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors and pneumatic systems
- Planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support
- Mechanical strip-downs, rebuilds and equipment installation work
- Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and improve machine reliability
- Assisting with continuous improvement and maintenance projects
Criteria
- Mechanical qualification preferred
- Previous experience within manufacturing, production, FMCG or industrial maintenance environments
- Strong mechanical fault-finding ability
- Experience working on conveyors, bearings, chains, belts, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Welding and fabrication experience advantageous
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance and health & safety procedures
