About Our Client:
Our client, a well-established company based in Mid Ulster, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join their team. This role involves maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure smooth production operations, with the advantage of working day shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Collaborate with production teams to support operational goals and ensure minimal disruption during shifts.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and perform corrective actions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Trade certification or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
