Maintenance Technician

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a growing engineering team within a fast-paced environment.

This role would suit a Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Multi Skilled Engineer, Mechanical Fitter or Electrical Technician looking for long-term career progression, strong overtime opportunities and exposure to modern equipment and automated systems.

You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and supporting the smooth running of equipment and production systems.

The Role

  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns and minimise downtime
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain equipment reliability and performance
  • Work on motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and automated equipment
  • Complete maintenance documentation and reports
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Shift Engineer, Mechanical Fitter or Electrical Technician
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical background
  • Fault-finding experience within a maintenance environment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills

Desirable Experience

  • PLC fault finding
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • FMCG, manufacturing or production environment experience
  • Welding/fabrication experience
  • Mechanical trade or electrical qualification
  • Experience working on automated machinery
