Manufacturing Engineer

Manufacturing Engineer

Dungannon, Co. Tyrone

£35,000 - £45,000

I’m working with a well-established engineering manufacturer who design and build specialist equipment used globally. They’re continuing to grow and invest heavily in new product development, and they’re now looking to bring in an NPI / Manufacturing Engineer to support that.

The Role

This is a hands-on role focused on taking new products from concept through to full production.

You’ll be right in the middle of it – working across design, R&D and the shop floor to make sure products are built efficiently, correctly, and to a high standard.

Day to day:

  • Supporting new product introduction from concept to production
  • Leading DFM / DFA reviews to ensure designs are manufacturable
  • Developing manufacturing processes, tooling, and work instructions
  • Leading prototype builds and first article validation
  • Acting as the link between design, production, quality, and supply chain
  • Driving root cause analysis and fixing production issues quickly
  • Implementing improvements to reduce rework, scrap, and inefficiencies
  • Supporting production teams and training operators on new processes

What They’re Looking For

  • Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Around 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or NPI-focused role
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes – machining, fabrication, assembly, wiring, etc.
  • Experience working across teams in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Solid problem-solving skills (root cause, continuous improvement mindset)
  • Exposure to tools like SolidWorks, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC or ERP systems is a plus

Why This Role?

If you’re currently in a role where you’re just firefighting or doing the same thing day in, day out – this gives you a chance to get involved in full product lifecycle work.

You’ll have real visibility, real responsibility, and a genuine impact on how products are brought to market.
