Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum + Bonus

About Our Client:
Our client, a leading engineering company based in Dungannon, is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their New Product Introduction (NPI) team. This role involves designing and developing innovative mechanical products, providing a great opportunity for creativity and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of new mechanical products from concept through to production as part of the NPI process.
- Create detailed CAD models, technical drawings, and specifications for new products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure successful product launches.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical feedback to improve product design and manufacturability.
- Perform testing and validation of prototypes to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues throughout the product development process.
- Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, updates, and project milestones.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical design and NPI.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design and new product introduction, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
