Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Cork-based (Projects across Cork)
Salary: €70,000 – €90,000+ Base (DOE) + Vehicle + Benefits

The Opportunity
A highly successful, Cork-based mechanical engineering and facilities contractor is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Project Manager to lead a diverse pipeline of projects across the Munster region. Following several major contract wins, this position offers an immediate start with an expanding team.
The company is uniquely positioned in the market, delivering a balanced 50/50 split between premium residential installations and large-scale commercial/industrial fit-outs. The role offers full end-to-end project ownership with an established contractor that prides itself on premium workmanship, safety, and efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee mechanical packages from initial tender stage right through to site handover and final practical completion.
- Balanced Portfolio Delivery: Simultaneously manage a diverse workload spanning high-end domestic utility systems and commercial mechanical installations.
- Resource & Procurement: Direct project engineering controls, including procurement, material resourcing, and subcontractor management.
- Commercial & Schedule Control: Ensure all mechanical services are executed seamlessly, hitting strict client milestone schedules on time and within budget.
- QA/QC & Safety: Enforce rigorous quality control protocols and maintain strict site safety compliance across all live project fields.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or Plumbing.
- Minimum 3–5+ years of Project Management experience within the mechanical contracting sector.
- Proven track record handling a mix of commercial developments and residential/domestic systems.
- Strong capabilities in commercial budgeting, procurement, and managing site labour forces.
- Excellent customer-facing skills to collaborate effectively with diverse client and stakeholder groups.
- Based locally in Cork with a full clean driving licence.
