Location: Dublin, Ireland
Salary Range: £75,000 to £85,000 per annum, plus company van.

About the Company:

Our client is a leading provider of mechanical services in the construction and building industry. With a focus on quality and innovation, they specialize in delivering mechanical solutions for apartment schemes, hotels, and other commercial projects.

Role Overview:

The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing mechanical aspects of construction projects, including planning, coordination, and execution. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage mechanical aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project team.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of mechanical installations.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect workmanship, quality, and compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project status, milestones, and budgetary performance.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence among project teams and subcontractors.

 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on apartment schemes and hotels.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
