Mechanical Site Manager – Healthcare Project (Dublin)
The Opportunity
On behalf of a leading Mechanical Contractor, we are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Site Manager for a major, high-profile hospital development in Dublin.
Our client is a market leader in delivering complex mechanical services, including high-purity piping, specialist HVAC, and medical gas systems for the healthcare and life sciences sectors. This is a critical site leadership role for an individual capable of managing the mechanical fit-out of a state-of-the-art clinical facility.
Core Responsibilities

Project Leadership: Manage day-to-day mechanical site operations, coordinating sub-contractors and direct labour (Fitters/Plumbers) to ensure project milestones are hit safely and efficiently.

Specialist Systems Oversight: Direct the installation and testing of critical healthcare services, including Medical Gases, specialist HVAC (HEPA filtration/Cleanrooms), and complex plant rooms.

Technical Compliance: Ensure all installations adhere strictly to project specifications, TGD Part B/Part L, and healthcare-specific HTM (Health Technical Memoranda) standards.

Quality & BCAR: Lead the quality control process, managing the RFI log and ensuring all documentation is "audit-ready" for BCAR certification and final hospital handover.

Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client, hospital estates team, and lead consultants to resolve interface and scheduling conflicts.

Commissioning Coordination: Oversee the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases, ensuring all life-safety and mechanical systems are validated and ready for clinical use.
Candidate Profile

Experience: Minimum of 5–10 years in mechanical site management, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, or Industrial piping projects.

Qualifications: Relevant Senior Trade background (Pipefitting/Plumbing) or a Degree in Mechanical Engineering with extensive site-based management experience.

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of high-spec mechanical installations, specifically medical gas systems, HVAC, and Building Management Systems (BMS).

Safety: Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and CIF/IOSH Site Management Safety certification.

Attributes: A strategic problem-solver with the ability to manage the unique pressures of a live or high-stakes clinical construction site.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: €70,000 – €90,000 per annum (Negotiable based on depth of healthcare project experience).
