MEP Lead - Data Centre

Role Overview:
As the MEP Lead for Data Centre projects based in Dublin, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of our projects. Reporting directly to the International Projects Director, you will lead a team of engineers and contractors to ensure the successful delivery of MEP services in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, develop, and lead a team of Mechanical, Electrical, and Commissioning engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture within the MEP team.
- Supplier and Contractor Management:
- Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers, MEP contractors, and consultants.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure timely delivery of MEP services.
MEP Project Management:
- Oversee the entire MEP lifecycle, including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning, across multiple projects.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- Conduct thorough design reviews and propose innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
- Coordination and Optimization:
- Coordinate MEP installation activities to eliminate inefficiencies and optimize project execution.
- Monitor and control procurement, delivery, and commissioning progress to align with project timelines.
Client Engagement and Compliance:
- Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and propose value-added solutions.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with LEED and BREEAM requirements, as necessary.
- Prepare operation and maintenance manuals and conduct client demonstrations as needed.
Candidate Profile:
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering discipline, coupled with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role within a Management Contractor, Large Engineering Contractor, or Engineering Consultancy.
- Proven track record of long-term commitment and service with previous organizations.
- In-depth knowledge of Digital Technology, MEP standards, and regulations.
- Strong commercial acumen and decision-making skills.
- Ability to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team of engineers.
- Proactive and collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
Package Offered:
Our client offers a competitive package, including a base salary within the range of €90,000 to €110,000, along with pension and life assurance benefits, healthcare coverage, and a car allowance or company vehicle.
