Mechanical Engineer – Tipperary

Our client is a mechanical contractor with a strong track record delivering large-scale, complex projects across Ireland and Europe, including data centres, life sciences and pharma. They are now hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Tipperary.
This role suits an engineer who enjoys working across design, technical delivery and site coordination, providing mechanical engineering support from design through to installation and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mechanical engineering support across live projects, from design through to installation
- Review drawings, specifications and mechanical designs for accuracy and buildability
- Manage RFIs, submittals and technical queries with the design team and client
- Coordinate with site teams and subcontractors on mechanical installation
- Support commissioning and handover, ensuring documentation is complete
- Ensure work is delivered to quality, safety and specification standards
- Assist with technical problem-solving on site as required
What You'll Need
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with a mechanical contractor or on M&E construction projects
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems
- Comfortable liaising with design teams, site teams and clients
- Data centre, pharma or life sciences project experience an advantage
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
