Panel Builder – Cookstown

We're working with a well-established engineering business based in Cookstown that designs and delivers electrical and automation solutions for industrial customers across Northern Ireland and beyond. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to add a Control Panel Builder to their workshop team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building quality panels from start to finish and takes pride in neat, compliant, well-labelled work.
The role
You’ll be based primarily in the Cookstown workshop, building control panels and motor control centres used across a range of industrial applications.
Day to day, you’ll be wiring panels from electrical schematics and drawings, installing components such as PLCs, VSDs, contactors and relays, and ensuring all panels are built, tested and finished to a high standard. You’ll work closely with electrical engineers and the wider team to deliver panels on time and to specification.
What they’re looking for
- Experience building control panels in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong panel wiring skills – tidy, logical and compliant builds
- Experience with PLC panels, motor control panels and VSDs is highly desirable
- A practical, reliable individual who can work independently and as part of a team
- A strong focus on quality, safety and attention to detail
