Job Description:
Our client is looking for a talented Planner to take ownership of developing and maintaining detailed Mechanical & Electrical project programmes. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will utilize your expertise in P6 & MS Project to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning activities from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
- Develop and maintain integrated project programmes using P6 & MS Project.
- Coordinate with design, commercial, and production teams to align project activities and milestones.
- Ensure compliance with planning standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Cultivate strong communication channels with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate project progress.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project status, identifying risks and opportunities for mitigation.
- Actively participate in project meetings and contribute insights to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar planning role within the construction industry. (Role also open to candidates at a graduate level)
- Experience in mechanical and electrical contracting is advantageous.
- Proficiency in P6 & MS Project is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, scheduling techniques, and project management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
