Our client, a leading mechanical and electrical engineering contractor based in Dublin, is seeking a highly skilled Planner to join their dynamic team. With a strong focus on innovation and excellence, they deliver high-quality projects across various sectors.

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a talented Planner to take ownership of developing and maintaining detailed Mechanical & Electrical project programmes. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will utilize your expertise in P6 & MS Project to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning activities from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project programmes using P6 & MS Project.
  • Coordinate with design, commercial, and production teams to align project activities and milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with planning standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Cultivate strong communication channels with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate project progress.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status, identifying risks and opportunities for mitigation.
  • Actively participate in project meetings and contribute insights to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar planning role within the construction industry. (Role also open to candidates at a graduate level)
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical contracting is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in P6 & MS Project is essential.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, scheduling techniques, and project management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
