Job Summary:

We are currently recruiting a seasoned Project Manager on behalf of our client for an exciting large-scale new build commercial healthcare project in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of this project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies specific to the healthcare sector.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
  • Execution: Manage the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that all work is carried out according to the project plan and adheres to industry standards and client requirements.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce rigorous quality control procedures, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained throughout the construction process.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, with a particular focus on the stringent requirements of healthcare construction.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including clients, design teams, and regulatory bodies, ensuring all interests are aligned and expectations are met.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management and clients, including progress reports, financial status, and risk assessments.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a strong background in managing large-scale commercial or healthcare projects.

 

Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead and manage large, complex projects
  • Strong understanding of healthcare construction requirements and regulations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
