A well-established construction firm is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a large-scale healthcare development—a 90-bed Community Nursing Unit (CNU) in Carrick-on-Shannon. The successful candidate will lead this critical project from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and budget targets are met.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of site management, programme delivery, and team coordination
  • Manage client and consultant relationships, chair meetings, and provide regular progress updates
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, H&S compliance, and quality standards
  • Prepare, update, and track project programmes and resource schedules
  • Work closely with commercial and procurement teams to manage project costs and reporting
  • Ensure timely delivery of milestones, inspections, and handover documentation
  • Lead and support the on-site management team to foster a high-performance culture
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively with a practical and solution-driven approach

 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years’ experience in a Project Management or Site Management role with main contractor
  • Proven track record delivering healthcare, residential, or similar public works projects
  • Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, BCAR, and HSE procedures
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Experience managing complex programmes and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Relevant construction-related degree or equivalent trade background
  • Proficiency in MS Project or similar planning software
