Job Description:
As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of residential projects in Laois from inception to completion. You will oversee all aspects of project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder coordination. Your leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills will be essential in ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, to ensure the successful delivery of residential projects in Laois.
- Manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants, ensuring that all parties adhere to contractual obligations and deliverables.
- Implement and enforce quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure that construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
- Promote and maintain a strong culture of health and safety on-site, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies to ensure the safety of all personnel.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, local authorities, and other stakeholders to address project requirements, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project resources efficiently, including manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
- Identify potential risks and issues associated with project delivery and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project objectives.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, project status, budget variances, and any potential risks or issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering residential projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications.
- Experience working with local authorities and knowledge of planning regulations.
