Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee our commercial projects in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fit-out and/or building construction, with previous experience working for main contractors. As a key member, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and execution to final delivery and client handover.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project team and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate all construction activities, including procurement, subcontractor management, and site operations, to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Monitor progress against established milestones and proactively identify and address any potential risks or delays.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the construction process.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to uphold construction standards and specifications.
  • Implement effective quality control measures and corrective actions as necessary to maintain project quality and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Foster positive relationships and open communication channels to promote collaboration and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment with project objectives.
  • Manage project resources efficiently, including labor, materials, equipment, and budget, to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to procure materials and services in accordance with project requirements and timelines.
  • Forecast resource requirements and proactively identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Identify potential risks and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and liabilities.
  • Address unforeseen challenges or issues promptly, leveraging problem-solving skills and collaborating with the project team to find effective solutions.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role, preferably within the commercial construction sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in fit-out and/or building construction, with a strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion.
