Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead our commercial projects in Limerick and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of project delivery, from planning and execution to final handover. With projects valued up to €40 million, this is an exciting opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and contribute to the success of our growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Oversee all construction activities, including procurement, subcontractor management, and site operations, to maintain quality standards and meet project objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Foster positive relationships and open communication channels to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders to maintain transparency and address any concerns or issues proactively.
- Manage project resources, including labour, materials, equipment, and budget, to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Identify potential risks and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful delivery.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement corrective actions as necessary to address emerging issues.
- Maintain a strong focus on health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role, preferably within the commercial construction sector.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Experience managing projects valued up to €40 million is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a track record of successfully managing complex construction projects.
