Job Description:

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and successful completion of residential and commercial construction projects. While the role is primarily office-based, you will also conduct regular site visits for meetings and inspections. Your duties will include:

 

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Lead and manage project teams, including site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and labourers. Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all team members.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Oversee all aspects of construction quality, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
  • Prepare and present regular project progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager in residential/commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
